Today I decided to start a blog.
It was not something that had been specifically on my mind before, but I often wish that I documented things in my life in an efficient manner. I would love to keep a diary so that in the future I could read it and marvel at all of the experiences, thoughts, feelings and issues that were so important to me in the past. But I don’t have the patience for writing things in a book that nobody would ever read. The main inspiration for starting lisavstheworld is a travel challenge I have set myself.
I want to visit 30 countries before I am 30.
This is a challenge I decided to embark upon this year after conversations with a friend who is significantly more well travelled than I. My friend (also called Lisa) has been to more countries than her years of age. During this conversation I realised I had not spread my wings far enough and decided to change that. Hence, 30 before 30.
I am 26 and to date I have visited just 13 countries. As part of this blog I will revisit the countries I have already been to and share my experiences of them, as well as documenting my future travel. But this blog will also contain posts about other aspects of my life: my career, my friends, my family, and in all likelihood a lot of food!

Best of luck with your goal! 🙂

What a great target! 🙂 I would love to visit 30 countries before I am 30, but I don’t think I’d squeeze it in! I’m a bit behind! Good luck! Looking forward to reading about your adventures.
